Updates and Photo Comparisons of my Succulents after 33 Days in my Tender Loving Care - Succoholic Series #9
Post #9: Day 33 since POS.
Some updates on my succulents:
1. I have some beautiful rosettes on my leaf propagates:
2. I moved most of my other leaf propagates to a new tray (a literal egg tray) that I filled with my potting mixture (1 part soil, 1 part sand, 2 parts pumice). I did this because I find that the roots have a difficulty penetrating pure pumice, and I hope they do better with this potting mixture.
3. My mother moved our succulents to the north side of our house because we felt that they weren't getting enough sun (they were turning green and most are etiolated). However, they're closer to the roof eaves on this side and get wet from rain sprays so my mother added this plastic contraption to protect them:
4. Other noteworthy succulent updates:
- Those leaves on the new shoots are growing bigger! :)
- Can you find the shoots growing on a few leaves of this succulent? :)
- I'm not sure if you can see them, but there are shoots growing from where the leaves touch the stem of this one.
- This was the succulent cutting I ripped off the mother succulent which died in post #7. It's looking good.
5. I'm doing something really wrong because my succulents don't look as pretty as when I first got them. Look at the comparisons here from before and after (now on Day 33):
If you have any advice at all on how to improve them, please let me know.
That's all for today! =)
